Newmark Polska has strengthened its commercial real estate platform with the appointment of Søren Rodian Olsen as Executive Board Director and Head of Capital Markets. In his new role, Olsen will lead the development of the company’s Capital Markets advisory practice in Poland.
The appointment adds an experienced investment specialist to Newmark Polska’s leadership team. Moreover, it supports the company’s broader strategy to expand its capabilities across Poland’s commercial property market.
Olsen is already listed as Executive Board Director and Head of Capital Markets at Newmark Polska in the 2026 Eurobuild conference program.
Søren Rodian Olsen Brings Extensive Capital Markets Experience
Olsen has built a long career in European commercial real estate. His experience covers investment transactions, advisory services and capital markets across Poland and the wider Central and Eastern European region.
Before joining Newmark Polska, he held senior positions in the property industry. In 2019, for example, he was listed as Partner and Head of Capital Markets at Cushman & Wakefield in Warsaw. At the time, he moderated a major ULI Poland discussion focused on capital markets and investment.
Therefore, his appointment gives Newmark Polska additional expertise as the firm develops its investment advisory offering.
Newmark Polska Expands Its Capital Markets Services
The launch of a dedicated Capital Markets practice represents another step in Newmark Polska’s expansion.
The company entered the Polish market in January 2022 as a Newmark Global Partner. Since then, it has developed its position in commercial real estate services, particularly across the office, industrial and warehouse sectors.
Capital markets had already been identified as an important area for future growth. Earlier company profiles highlighted plans to expand services involving investment transactions, property valuation, market research and advisory.
Consequently, Olsen’s arrival aligns with a strategy that has been developing for several years.
Focus on Property Investment in Poland
As Head of Capital Markets, Olsen will bring his investment-market experience to Newmark Polska’s growing advisory platform.
Capital markets advisory plays an important role in commercial property transactions. It can support investors when evaluating acquisitions, disposals and broader investment strategies.
In addition, international expertise can become particularly valuable when transactions involve investors operating across several European markets.
Newmark Polska’s decision to establish the practice also broadens its existing service portfolio. The firm can now strengthen its support for clients beyond leasing and occupier advisory.
Poland Remains an Important Commercial Real Estate Market
The appointment comes as investors continue to evaluate opportunities across Poland and the wider CEE region.
For Newmark Polska, expanding into capital markets creates another connection between local property expertise and international investment capital. It also allows the company to provide a wider range of services to institutional and private investors.
Meanwhile, Olsen’s previous experience in the Polish market gives him familiarity with its major property sectors and investment environment.
His leadership will now be central to establishing the new practice and developing relationships with investors, property owners and other market participants.
Newmark Polska Strengthens Its European Property Position
The addition of Søren Rodian Olsen to Newmark Polska marks a significant expansion of the company’s advisory capabilities.
Rather than focusing exclusively on tenant representation and leasing, Newmark Polska is broadening its presence in investment-related services. Capital Markets will become another part of that strategy.
Furthermore, the move strengthens the company’s ability to connect Polish commercial property opportunities with domestic and international capital.
With Olsen leading the new practice, Newmark Polska is positioning Capital Markets as an important component of its next phase of growth in Poland’s commercial real estate sector.
